Can I Kick It?

At times it was enough
Just to put Tribe on in the car
Roll the window down to let the clouds
In my mind
Roll by
Instead of hang

Just to see them cirrus-y
Instead of stratus-y
Y?
Because the sunshine doesn’t move
In this picture
Y?
Because the image is one of clouds
And so is life, I think
It’s just a matter of what clouds
There are
And what clouds
There aren’t
Because the sun rises
When spirits don’t
But the clouds?
We can either watch them roll by
Or we can stand underneath them.
